Our Activities

Our Activities

Sallahfest is more than a celebration—it’s a platform for community transformation. Our activities are designed to address real social needs while honoring cultural and Islamic traditions. Each core program below plays a vital role in uplifting lives, empowering youth, and uniting the community.

Promoting post-Ramadan unity and joy through cultural celebration.

Health Screening

We offer free health screenings conducted by certified medical professionals. These include vital checks such as blood pressure, diabetes, malaria testing, eye exams, and other essential services. It’s our way of promoting early diagnosis and health awareness in underserved communities.

NHIS Registration

Sallahfest facilitates on-site registration and renewal for Ghana’s National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). This helps community members—especially the elderly, women, and children—access affordable healthcare without bureaucratic barriers.

Food Bazaar – Feeding with Dignity

This is one of our most heartfelt initiatives. We provide freshly prepared meals to hundreds of families, ensuring that everyone, regardless of status, shares in the joy of Sallah. It’s not just about food—it’s about restoring dignity and showing compassion during a festive season.

Children’s Playground

Our safe, well-organized playground creates an exciting space for children to play, learn, and bond. Activities include games, face painting, storytelling, and Islamic-themed entertainment—all designed to nurture childhood joy and creativity.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training Workshop

We’re bridging the digital divide by training young people in AI, digital literacy, and future tech skills. This workshop opens doors to new career paths and empowers the youth with tools to thrive in the modern world—right from their own community.

Grand Durbar of Chiefs

A majestic cultural display where traditional leaders, imams, elders, and invited dignitaries gather to bless the community, offer guidance, and celebrate unity. The durbar reinforces respect for our customs, while promoting peace and togetherness.

Cultural Night

Cultural Night is a colorful dinner evening that blends tradition, elegance, and entertainment into one unforgettable experience. Held from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, this event brings together guests from all walks of life to enjoy a rich display of music, poetry, dance, storytelling, and cuisine under a serene night atmosphere.

Street Carnival

The Street Carnival is the high-energy heartbeat of Sallahfest—a vibrant musical showcase and community celebration that transforms the streets of Accra New Town into a stage. It is where young, talented minds are given the spotlight to express themselves through music, dance, spoken word, fashion, and art.
